About Keunwon
Keunwon Park is a Korean lyric baritone currently based in New York City, where he is recently achieved his Master of Music in Voice at Mannes School of Music (The New School).
Originally from Seoul, he earned his Bachelor of Music from Seoul National University, and has since built a versatile operatic and concert career. His operatic roles span from the witty and darkly charismatic Don Giovanni in Mozart’s Don Giovanni to the elegant and scheming Dr. Falke in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus.
Keunwon is also drawn to contemporary opera, having performed in David T. Little’s Vinkensport and Ofer Ben-Amots’ The Dybbuk, where he explored emotionally complex, modern characters and musical language.
In recital and concert settings, he is a thoughtful interpreter of art song and sacred music, with a special affinity for German Lieder, French mélodies, and oratorio repertoire. With a warm baritone timbre, strong linguistic command, and a sincere approach to text and character, Keunwon brings a compelling presence to the stage.
His artistry is guided by a belief in music’s ability to communicate deeply and transcend boundaries — culturally, emotionally, and spiritually.
